Where will you be in 5 years?

I was at one of my very favorite stores yesterday..Fireworks, and I came across this fantastic book by Compendium Incorporated. The book is filled with great quotes on the spreads as shown below as well as a number of pages to fill in to set goals for your future. Your dreams can come true...you just need to imagine them (preferably in motion), set tangible goals, create movement toward these goals and believe! Enjoy....

BTW...this is my favorite last question to ask when conducting an interview. The answer will speak mountains about a person. I think the best response would be "I will be running your company". LOL!

Grand ones at that!

hmmm....

Let me count the ways....

This is of course my favorite, as I'm full of crazy ideas. As a matter of fact, I just had an idea for a book that I was imagining would be designed similar to this one so this book spoke even louder to me!

Reach for the stars!!!!

I am a dreamer at heart. I have a practice that I learned early this year about writing down your dreams and goals in the morning and in the evening and saying them out loud as well. This practice helped Pink Light come to life! I am grateful!

One important thing about strategizing is that it's great to set intentions and have goals but I find it equally as important to be detached from the outcome, as oftentimes our dreams are realized in a much more creative way than we could have imagined.... Now that's pretty cool!

Listen to your intuition....

"I am grateful to be a channel for this (creative) information-and I am thankful that this is the way I get to make my living". This quote is from the current book that I am reading which I am SO EXCITED about....stay tuned for that tomorrow!!!

I fell in LOVE 3 times today...

at Nordstrom!!! Aside from the beautiful warmth and sunshine we had in Seattle today...here's what else sparkled!

This lovely boho chic handbag by marc by marc jacobs. The color is a dark reddish-orange. Exquisite. It also has an over the shoulder strap, not seen here and if you lift up the flap (that the label is on) there is a zipper under there. I love it. By the way...I stopped by to check in on my Red Rose Valentino handbag just to see how it was doing and I'M SO OVER IT!!!

These Jimmy Choo shoes actually SPOKE to me. I picked them up and could not help but to embrace them. I was completely taken away by the moment. They are truly stunning!

And last but not least...this new perfume with the beautiful name LOLA. I love it! These best thing of all is that when you touch the flowers on top they move. They are made out of a soft plastic and really draw you in and when they move it is quite delightful.

Pink Light Trend Report Fall Winter 2010: First two trends!

Pink Light will begin offering trend services to our clients. I was going to wait and post all the trends at once but I am too excited and have to share. I will continue posting the trends throughout the next two weeks so stay tuned! Fall 2010 trends are based off of my current trip to NY where I attended Printsource and listened to trend forecasters and also did lots and lots of instore research. We all know it takes some time for these trends to trickle down from couture and I believe these trends will all be relevant NOW through 2010. I hope they inspire you!!! Enjoy!!!!

PInk Light is featured on Print and Pattern!

It was so nice to wake up to an email from my fabulous friend on the east coast who is already 3 hours into her day, telling me that Pink Light is featured on Print and Pattern! Yeah! It is always a pleasure to be in the company of so many talented illustrators. Check it out here: www.printpattern.blogspot.com/

New prints available from Pink Light!

I've had many requests for another collection using warm tones with a mix of brown and grey. Here's a start.

Enjoy your SUN day. Happy image of the day: Picture yourself on a beach with the sun beaming down on you with a very creative looking drink, colorful, refreshing...and topped off with an umbrella....the palm trees are rustling in the wind and there is nothing to do.....why am I inspired to do a tropical collection now? LOL! Happy day!

The Kiss and Hope II

The Kiss

Hope II

These paitings by Gustav Klimt speak for themselves. I saw Hope II at Moma a few weeks ago and was swept away by the intense beauty. I could look at them for hours.

Just a few of my favorites from NY

I took so many great pix in NY. Here are just a few of my favorites. Stay tuned for the rest in our up and coming trend report...
Love this vest....so Beyonce!!!
Feather motifs on a mirror at Henri Bendel. If you haven't been to this store...you must.

Love this wall of art at MOMA....all four walls were like this...
A bit of Jackson Pollock....
glamour shot...
street shot...
I fell in love with this bookstore. I could have looked at the books on tropical interiors and barcelona tiles for hours. There was french music playing in the background. I even saw a Valentino collectors edition book that was heavier than I am!!!
and this new book was there too...I quite like the cover art...

Buddha in the city....he was really in the windows of ABC Carpet and home...but I love what the reflection did...hmmmm....
all that glitters and shines...faux necklaces are EVERYWHERE!
Love these illustrations on tees at Zara...unique and exquisite hand sketches...
The Kate Spade store....simply chic and by far my FAVORITE shop this trip!
There's something so perfect about a neutral sleeping environment. I wanted to crawl right in. This was at ABC Home and carpet along with the below...I was blown away by all the lovely designs....
This chair immediately went to the number two slot on my wish list...right below the red rose Valentine handbag...It's just so unique!!!
Love the mix and match of the patterns...
the bold graphic shapes and pops of orange and purple...which by the way are two huge colors for next fall....

form and function are the key to great design...don't forget the bright colors...and pink to top it off!!!

hmm....tilt your head to the right...it even looks like a lightbulb!
