Tuesday Teen Talk with Maryah: Sunny Days to Come!

I started out this week wanting to post something about bright colors and getting ready for summer….but then the rain set in. So my best friend and I went out in the rain with our crazy outfits (dressed ready 4 summer) and we decided to take some fun silly pics!!!!! (BONUS…we were still able to have Bright colors on a dark rainy day)

I found some cool quotes and poems that describe what I was thinking and feeling, while I was editing these photos. And it was STILL pouring down rain outside.

Turn your frown upside down
I am here to make you smile
You're not in the best of moods
Everything seems black or white
I am here to add a flash of color
All you want to do is cry
I am here to make you laugh
You don't have anywhere to turn
I am here to listen to your concerns
Turn your frown upside down
I am here to make you smile. ~Deanna C. Dilley

My best friend took this AWESOME pic of my super crazy shoes!!!! And what girl doesn’t love fun shoes?!?!

Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you do criticize him, you'll be a mile away and have his shoes. ~Jack Handey quotes

We had a surprise visit from a good friend who brought ME these incredible PINK roses!!!! What a cool treat

You can complain because roses have thorns,
or you can rejoice because thorns have roses. ~Ziggy quotes

(I was listening to Praying for Sunny Days by Hyper Static Union and I think that this is my theme song for the week, because I am DEFINITELY prayin’ for SUNNY DAYS!!!!!!)

Poised for greatness, Maryah humbly does her research, pauses to thank God that she can present some bright colors to us through that which she recognizes God has brought to her, even in a solitary pink rose which has to brighten anyone's darkness! Keep using your God-given creative mind for bringing each of us the refreshing breeze of color on a dark and dreary appearing day. Remember, above any dark clouds, the sun is always SHINING BRIGHTLY!

  2. Hello. I am Deanna, author of the above poem, "Turn Your Frown Upside Down". I want to thank you for loving my poem so much that you felt it needed to be on your page. This was one of my earlier poems from the 1990s. I was at least 13 or 14 when "Turn Your Frown Upside Down" was written. Today I am in my early thirties. Again, thank you for sharing my poem with your readers. :)
