Let your beauty shine on the inside...and out!!!!

For those of you who don't know me, I have STICK STRAIGHT hair! I mean, I will NEVER need a hot iron to straighten my hair. I literally blow it dry and it is straight for good!  I have had on my list to buy a quality curling iron for months, and today I FINALLY took time to make the purchase! 5 minutes...and voila--big, beautiful, luscious curls! 

Each day I take care to treat my mind, body and soul with care so that I shine from the inside...but sometimes you just have to make it happen on the outside!!! 

As Mary J. Blige would say..."Work what you've got!"

And as Mary Beth would say, "Let your light shine"

Bringing Ideas to Life

I have had this sketch in my notebook since Christmas and have been struggling to bring it to life for the past few weeks. I was about to give up when today I found this wonderful quote below. It is on daily motivator site which is a link under my "body mind soul" section to the right. Please check out this site daily as it has wonderful inspirations! Here's to success in bringing our divine ideas to life! A great way to get an idea in motion is by sketching your drawings or writing down your goals and ideas in a journal and you can always come back to them later....even if it takes 5 months! :)

Take Action

Success does not come to those who merely have great ideas. Success comes to those who have great ideas and who follow through on them.

Your carefully crafted plans bring value only when you put them into action. The best of intentions are useful only when you follow through on them.

During the course of the day, many thoughts cross your mind. Yet just as easily and quickly as those thoughts come, they recede, so it's crucial to begin acting on the best ones right away.

Before a valuable and meaningful intention gets pushed out of your mind by another thought, do something about it. Set the process irrevocably in motion and begin to bring that intention to life.

When you think of doing something, there's a reason why you have that thought. Listen to what the thought is suggesting, and take action immediately.

Don't let the idea or the intention or the vision slip away. Take action and make it real.

Surtex and Pink Light Design

In December I decided to start my own design studio and show at Surtex in May! I wasn't sure how to pull this all together in five months, but Wow! The months have flown by and somehow it is all coming together. Pink Light Design will be showing approx. 700 pieces of artwork at Surtex this year. We have 4 artists working on new pieces and lots of great supporters! Thank goodness for wonderful friends, family, and understanding children! Things are coming along amazingly and I am excited for a wonderful and fun learning experience! 

I have started this blog with the intention of sending positive quotes, sayings, words of the day, and any type of inspiration to those who would like to find little gifts in their mailbox. I hope to attach an image to the inspirational text and I hope to bring a smile to your face and peace to your heart.  Here's to peace, love, abundance, and a successful show!!! 

Thank you to all who have supported me! There will be a gratitude party. It will be so fun!
